FAVOURED MATERIALS:

Recycled Polyester - each year approximately 1.5 million tons of plastic water bottles are used once and thrown away. Put simply, these can be recycled into soft, long-lasting textiles that Animals In charge can use in their own production. Recycled polyester has a much smaller footprint that virgin polyester yet offers much the same benefits we love in performance textiles, being that it is lightweight, durable and colourfast. Recycling post-consumer materials means they are less likely to end up in landfill, oceans, rivers, and other habitat for animals and humans alike.

Organic Cotton - Cotton is a great material for many reasons. It is soft, very workable, and feels nice to wear and use. Traditionally farmed cotton is the most pesticide-dependent crop in the world, accounting for 25% of all pesticide use.Organic cotton (compared to traditional cotton) is farmed without chemicals, uses less water and energy, and has less impact on the soil and air, resulting in less harmful run off into our waterways.
